A.O. Smith is also ISO 14001 certified for the environmental management system used and its application to the design, manufacture, sale, commissioning and maintenance of hot water, heating and water treatment systems.

Hygiene also plays a major role when it comes to hot tap water. For this purpose, we have a legionella program in many of our products, provide support for annual maintenance and many of our heat pumps and boilers achieve temperatures of no less than 70°C. In addition, many of our hot water systems are equipped with built-in legionella prevention systems to combat harmful bacteria. This way, you do not have to worry about this hygiene aspect and you know that the hot water can be used safely.

Buffer tanks

For many applications of water in the agricultural and horticultural sector, the temperature and quantity of hot water are crucial. Think of cleaning milk vats or agricultural vehicles. This requires temperatures of at least 70°C to ensure hygiene and a lot of hot water at the same time. A.O. Smith can guarantee both. We have various sizes of buffer tanks that can be connected to our hot water systems that even reach temperatures of up to 85°C. This makes it possible to provide a lot of hot water at once.

Heating and cooling

Thanks to our heat pump family, we are also able to heat and cool spaces. For example, think of heating a greenhouse. There, it is necessary for the plants to have a constant temperature in order to grow well. Cooling is also no problem for our heat pumps. Both can be provided by one system
