At this recently opened mini camp site an SGE with 5 collectors and a plate heat exchanger were installed. The SGE gas-solar water heater supplies the 8 showers and wash basins in the bathroom with hot water. The plate heat exchanger is used to convert the heat from the sun into underfloor heating which warms the shared living room.
This system provides visitors of this mini camp site with solar-powered hot water and heating. This type of installation is an excellent choice for a camp site, since the camping season falls mainly during the sunniest months, making optimum use of available solar heat.
